Made for movement.
Refined for presence.
The name
AYTA is not a word that already existed.
Ánh
What is seen from the outside. Clarity, brightness, the energy a person carries into a room.
Tâm
What sits underneath. Steadiness, depth, a strength that doesn't need to announce itself.
The Y sits between them. Soft without being fragile, steady without having to harden.
Material
Not every piece needs to hold you the same way.
Some ask for something firm and steady. Others ask for softness, and for the fabric to stay light against the skin.
So we develop the material for the piece, rather than fitting every piece to one material.
Using one fabric across everything would be simpler to produce. It would also mean every piece holding you the same way, whether that was right for it or not.
Process
Nothing was approved from a first sample.
AYTA is designed in Vietnam and produced in China, with a partner who specialises in stretch apparel.
We didn't choose them for a list of brands they've worked with. We chose them because they could meet requirements that were specific and difficult — how the fabric should feel in the hand, how a piece should sit on the body, how the finishing should read up close.
Each design went through three rounds of prototyping.
Every round we looked again at the same things: the hand of the fabric, how it stretched and how it came back, the proportion of the cut, the seams, the finish.
A design only moved into production once it held both at once — the way it feels to wear, and the shape we wanted it to hold.
Direction, review and final approval all happen from Vietnam.
Wear
What others notice, and what only you feel.
A piece works when you stop thinking about it — when nothing needs adjusting, nothing rides up, nothing presses.
That is harder to design than it sounds, and it is the only test that matters.
Standard
Three things we check, every time.
01
Material
Chosen by hand feel, stretch and recovery before anything else. If it doesn't feel right in the hand, nothing after that matters.
02
Fit
Resolved through proportion and range of motion, tested on the body rather than on a chart. A fit that only works standing still isn't finished.
03
Finish
Measurements and construction checked against the approved sample. The details you notice up close are the ones we look at longest.
Softness and strength were never a choice between two things.
